Keep the evening before an assessment as much like any other evening as you can.

A two-minute read, three things to try, for ages 5 to 13.

Where to start

  • Keep bath, supper and bedtime the way they usually are.
  • Tell her briefly what’s happening, in words she can understand: “We’re going to see a doctor tomorrow who asks children questions about how their brain works.
